I am aware that this car is about 40 years old and that there are problems to be expected, however this is my favorite car, and it is not my only car, in other words it wont be my daily driver, it is more of a project car. Okay so here is my dream last night. I was in my house (which wasn't my actual house) and this child comes home that was somehow related to me. Everyone greeted the child and then the child let it be know that it was the devil. For some reason, it directed this toward me. I for some reason had these crystals and only I could defeat him. I had a black cat that I was calling "Oreo" idk why that was weird and I put a crystal around him and said outloud "shield crystal" to protect the cat. Then I proceeded to fight with the devil who turned into a handsome man. I fought him off by saying something from the bible and I ran into an old cadillac and I called Oreo out to the car, carrying these magical crystals with me. We were driving when the devil begins to follow us. Then we are driving down this huge huge bridge going towards some lake and the car ends up falling off the bridge and going into the water. As I'm in the car and falling into the water, the crystals are floating in the water and I can no longer see Oreo, but I don't feel like anything is wrong with them. The devil floats down into the water because for some reason we can talk and stuff in the water. I somehow seduce him instead of battling him and once I seduce him, we kiss,etc and then I tell him hes lost because I suceeded in seducing him. I see my crystals glowing and then I wake up.... I know it's really weird. lol Can anyone help me interpret this at all? more

Hello, I am a 22 year old automotive technician at a Cadillac dealership. I have been with this company for three years. As you all know, times are very tough esp for the auto industry. Well there is barely enough work for the guys who are paid flat rate and I, being hourly am not making much money at all ($14/hr). My service manager proposed a position change to me today...He asked me if I would like to become the dispatcher for the shop. I immediately said that I would consider this with a pay increase and to my sursprise he said "of course". So why aren't they buying American made cars? I'm just curious. If the American cars are actually worth what US advertising claims ... then wouldn't we as Americans buy the Best made cars? I have 6 cars. All of them are older. I have a thing where I buy at bargain prices. As far as I know they are all American made. (I could be wrong) 1977 Cadillac Sedan Deville - 64,779 miles. Paid $1,500 and it's in Mint condition - Swallows gas like the whale swallowed Jonah. 1981 Ford Escort 4 speed. Sips gas like I sip tea. Sloooooowly ... I love it. I paid $800 and it only has 63,000 + miles. 1991 Buick Riviera. A good car. I love it (I paid $1,500 - 111,697 miles) Gas mileage is ok. 1990 Dodge Dynasty. I bought it for $4,000 and spent $4,000 keeping it running. I could kick myself in the (insert word here) for buying this piece of (insert other word here). 1973 Chevy Cheyenne truck - Mileage is unknown but it swallows gas and the whale that swallowed Jonah! I got it for $500 only cause I needed to haul things. It was a bad investment because of the gas mileage. Oh well. Sigh ... My latest car (because I got tired of paying to repair older cars) is a 2007 Ford Taurus. All around a very good car (In my most humble opinion) and I like it so far. Gas mileage is pretty good for me. I paid $8,797 and it had 34,675 miles. Ford even let me add a premium 3 year warranty after mine expires for $1,300. Ok, so my (supposedly best friend) was washing his trunk old 89 ford, and I was like come on sit with me in my lunch break at work, u can wash it later, then he ignored me, so i throw some dirt on it, he sprayed me with the hose, and I thought he was kidding, then he start yelling at me saying"would you like me throw dirt on your car, NO cause its a Cadillac", I was like "my car is like yours u can use it at anytime and hell yes u can do anything to it" and he refer to a past incident when his truck didn't work at all and i offered him to use my car, he referred to it when he was yelling at me saying that i offered him my car cause i just wanna brag not cause i wanna help him !!! I was like no i offered it cause u go to school and work and I graduate and I am not wasn't working back then and even now i have a part time job. he was like yeah yeah u have a Cadillac but at least i have a career, "he is making fun of me cause I can't find a job after i graduated from collage" the whole thing is unbelievable, no human would think like that. I offered him my car when his car was broken, and he thought of it as a bad move and didn't tell me about it until he had a fight with me??? he makes fun of me cause I couldn't find a job and I'm the one who gave him some cash when his wife got laid off and they fall behind on bills, and I never asked for the money back .. Resolved Question: What kind of problems should I look for in a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible?

My favorite car ever made (looks-wise) is the 1975-1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, and with the economy in such bad shape I see them popping up everywhere. I found a 1976 with 47k miles on it at a car dealership that specializes in Ford Mustangs and am interested in buying it, but what kind of major (ie. expensive) problems should I look for that will be easy to notice. I intend to have a CarChex inspection on it in which they will perform a 155 point inspection, including a 5 mile test drive, however this costs $120+, therefore before I order the inspection I want to see if there is anything I can spot myself that will make me not want to waste my time and money. I am well aware that this car is 30+ years old and that there will be some problems but as long as its not too bad I can fix it up. Dealer claims everything is functioning on the car that he is aware of. Dealer also claims the car had a complete tune up on 6/5/08 and had the Rochester Quadra Jet Carb (not sure what that is) rebuilt on 6/11/08. Also, I know a little about cars but definitely would not consider myself and expert. more

Voting Question: 84 Cadillac Sedan Devill HT 4.1 V8 is stalling.?

I have an 84 cadillac sedan deville with a 4.1 V8 HT4100 model. When I got it it was in need of repairs. It originally would not even crank up so we replace the fuel pump with a working and that got it started. We cleaned out the tank and securely installed the pump. Then it would shut off power and found that the alternator was not secured properly, we fixed that and the problem went away .I thought every thing was ok but then it started stalling during deceleration and breaking, it does it a random points. I already replaced the ECM module, but it still does it. When it stalls I lose my breaks and steering also. Sometimes when it stalls it sputters and loses power and then dies. This is baffling. Some of my mechanicaly knowledgable friends suggest a vapor lock, some still think its dirty gas. What options are left with this old tank. Thanks if you can help.BTW when we changed the fuel pump initially we did check the fuel line and blew air threw them and also made sure the inline fuel filster was clean it was all good.Well the last couple of days the car quit stalling maybe it was bad gas but I'll probably give the car some fuel cleaner and then give it a tune up. more

my dad and i we dont see eye to eye when we look at cars. he wants me to have a small compact 6 cylinder car that is newer and has under 100,000 miles for about 5 or 6 grand........ im looking at cars from 1990 and older i want a big car that floats like a boat, has a monster v8, over 100,000 miles, leather and power everything and gets crappy mileage....... he mentions 4 cylinder mustangs, hondas, and 2000's cadillac citerra, or however you say that small ugly cadillac....... im lookin at a 1979 lincoln continental with 47,000 miles, 400 v8 paint is faded but body is straight and drive great.. for 1300 and the other one is a 1986 lincoln town car executive, paint is still great, leather has no rips and has 91,000 miles for 2500..... see i already have an old school classic, a 1965 mustang in the garage, that im working on. i want to buy another classic while im working on the mustang so when im done with that one, i can work on the other one........ the big problem is that he has to go out and get the car for me, and i understand he doesnt want to waste 3 hours to bring car home that will break down next week....... hes gonna have to tow it to get it fixed...... its not that i dont care i just want a big comfy car what can i do or say for him to get it and not complain when it breaks down? i dont drive and havent driven in 3 years since i have 3 speeding tickets, 4 noise tickets, 2 accidents, and a dui on my record......... i can drive, i just need to reinstate my license and i have the money now to buy a car....... what would you say or do to help me get out of this situation? more

My husband bought me my dream car, the most beautiful 1977 Cadillac Victoria S&S Hearse Last year on Valentines Day. Of Course I agreed to marry him :). Its been almost a year and she is still running fine but does need a little TLC. As a Daily Driver She does get her share of bumps and bruises. My husband is in the Navy and is going into his 9th year. As required with his next set of orders we are moving to our newest duty station in Yokosuka, Japan. We will be gone overseas for 3 years. I have tried every single way possible to take my Vicky Sue with me but unfortunatly the Lady-In-Black must stay in the US. There is just no place to store her there and the streets are much too narrow to drive her. I do have the option of free storage from the navy but im pretty sure letting a 31 year old car sit for 3 years is not a good Idea if you want to keep it running. Here in San Diego an aquaintence made me the offer to keep the car, store it in a secure environment, drive it weekly and fix it up to show quality. The small print of this contract states that the title stays in my name but he provides his own full coverage insurance, He gets to keep any trophys and or monitary winnings connected to any show he puts it in, and that at the end of the 3 years The car will be returned to me. 1. Is this a good option to consider? 2. How would I keep track of a car if he moves or some series of unfortunate events should occur? 3. 3. I am 14 years old and I have never seen a Lamborghini. I went on a vacation to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. I saw way way way nicer cars then I see In Kalamazoo, Michigan where I live. I saw Cadillac's,Jaguar's,BMW's,Mercedes-Benz,Lexus. I saw BMW or Mercedes almost every 15 seconds. In Kalamazoo you are lucky if you see one of those once every 15 minutes. You also only see those in the richer part of Kalamazoo. I might see a Jaguar every so often down town,but you will probably never see those in the poor part of Kalamzoo. One day we took a drive to Palm Beach where the real rich people live. We drove up and down the streets for about a hour. I saw 2 Bentlys,about 4 old Rolls Royce's,1 Rolls Royce Phantom,and one Farrari. I saw all of those cars on Worth Ave. I saw the Rolls Royce Phantom parked in the parking lot at first but then it came around the corner and I saw it again. I also saw a grey Bently coming out of a parking lot. But I didn't see one Lamborghini. That was the main car I was really hoping to see. Why is that? Does anyone Know? more

How many cars do you own? Mine are : 1977 Cadillac Sedan Deville - 64,000 + miles. I paid $1,500. In great condition! Lousy gas mileage. :( 1978 Ford Escort Wagon - 63,000 + miles. $800. Great gas mileage! :) 1991 Dodge Dynasty - 125,000 + miles. $4,000 and spent more than $4,000 on repairs in the 6 years I've had it. (frowning) Bad move for me. (O_O) 1993 Buick Riviera - 125,000 + miles. $1,250. I love this car! 1973 Chevy Cheyenne Pickup truck. Mileage unknown (the odomoter is broken but runs great). Only $500. This has been discussed before, but I'm not sure in how long. I figured I'd ask this current wave of users. It's a couple of questions- 1) the one in the title- 2) Most of the songs used are older ones from the 60s- 80s. On the other hand, I realize that in many cases, the artists themselves are the ones who handed over the songs to use & probably could use the $$. I can sort of understand that w/ artists who didn't reach the heights of say, guys like Zeppelin or The Beatles. Resolved Question: Why has the public not heard about the cost of replacing batteries or the cost to recharge hybrid cars?

How come we have not heard what a great job our (all auto makers) have done in creating respectable gas mileage in our automobiles? What is the push to the "HYBRID?" I currently own 3 cars of which are all V-8 powered and range from 400 horsepower plus. My oldest from 1990 which get a respectable 17 city and 24 to 27 highway and has the most horsepower. This car also has no catalytic converters on it AND it passes the sniffer test...just in case you are not familiar, it passes emissions. And just to help answer the question I did own a 2000 Cadillac Escalade of which I sold because of the gasmileagee. It only did about 12 mpg...But look where we have come now. I am getting ready to go out and purchase a new Escalade and maybe a new CTS-V. I am not sure if I am going to pay for them after the first payment because Obama will bail me out. But still 5 cars that will get great gas mileage. How can you complain? My fear from people I have talked to is where are the batteries going when they don't hold a charge anymore? And why don't we know what that will cost? Batteries are expensive! Has anyone changed one lately? I have from having my cars sit, can't drive them all at once! So what is the point of emissions? Does it really work? I can say from experience NO! Oh and where is the power goingn to come from when the car gets plugged into the home to be recharged? more

The story might not make sense to you...because I'm only 13! Oh and is my story boring? ;/ Prologue I work for Alfred Greene as a secret agent. He assigns me challenging missions, whether it is to rescue the universe or murder a big shot. My co-worker, Fergus Letourneau, helps me achieve my missions. He gets in the way typically; other than that, he is a large help. I pickpocket, murder and spy which seemingly makes me a criminal and thief. Nevertheless, it’s all for the work. My name is Phoenix; I do not have a last name. And I’m 14 years old. Chapter 1 Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. I am on a mission; and it only just begun. Alfred Greene — my boss — gave me a call a minute ago; he order me to kidnap a young man by the name of Artemis Fowl. This odd man possesses something Alfred yearns for; perhaps drugs, gadgets, or intellects. Alfred notifies me; Artemis has a guardian named “Butler” and he spends time with an officer named Holly Short, regularly. I stroll through the damp empty streets of Manhattan, New York City, in a summer evening — looking for a dim alleyway to hide, for the fear that a police automobile may drive by and suspect something suspicious as of me. It is suppose to be a dark, murky night but the darkness is lit luminously by street lights. I smell freshly steam pizza approaching before me; it smells delicious; but I must not let hunger take over my task. I frown and kept strolling forwards, ignoring the delicious pizza scent. When a dim alleyway came into view, I walk within it and pull out my red cell phone from the left back pocket of my skinny black jean. I dial Fergus Letourneau’s — my co-worker — cell phone number. Fergus Letourneau is 7 years older than me, which makes him 21 years old currently. He is Italian and approximately 6 feet. He has black hair, tan skin, and dark brown eyes. “Hello?” Fergus answer his cell phone. “Fergus, its Phoenix,” I spoke, my pitch musical. The bizarre thing about me is my harmonious voice doesn’t tone well with my boyish features. I have a small straight nose, high cheekbones, thin upper lip and thick bottom lip; the shape of a flawless double curve. I have eerie eye colors; my left eye is the color of gloomy green as dark blue is the color of my right eye. I do not have broad shoulders and I am roughly 5 feet. My skin tone is exceedingly white; however my cheeks are bright pink. I have layered jet black hair; specifically, two or three centimeters above my chin — the tip of my hair is pointy— and short bangs. “It’s mission time.” “Where are you?” Fergus ask. He has a thunderous, husky voice. “Lexington Avenue, Manhattan, I suppose,” I answer. “You’ll find me.” I snap my red cell phone off and place it within the left back pocket of my skinny black jean. A police automobile drives by — not aware of who is standing in the dim alleyway — and continue driving onward. If I were to stand in the open area, the police would — without doubt — be suspicious. I have been working for Alfred Greene for nearly a year and I’ve always accomplish my missions. Fergus Letourneau; on the other hand, have been working for Alfred longer — 6 years perhaps. He has a family in Venezia, Italy; I believe a wife named Matilda and a daughter named Giovanna. How did they meet? Fergus was given an assignment and that was to rescue Matilda — the daughter of a high class family — because she was taken hostage by a hardcore gang identify as “Italian Mafia.” He told me it was love at first sight. “You never know who you’ll fall in love with.” I have been an orphanage from the time I was born; no mother to love me, no father to guide me, no siblings to teach me. Luckily, I was adopted by Alfred Greene at the age of 7; he saw a light in my heart and soul. I had no name; as a result, he gave me the name Phoenix because of my beauty and self-esteem. Alfred and Fergus is the closest thing to family. Alfred Greene —my boss — grew up as an orphanage as well. It was his dream to become a police, but since he didn’t have the education, he gave it up. One day, a millionaire encounters Alfred — who was drinking alcohol on the street — and asks Alfred if he wants a job. Alfred agrees and quickly turns into a secret agent. His boss died later than and Alfred took his boss place. Alfred is 40 years old presently. I catch a glimpse of a recognizable Cadillac Converj driving leisurely by — keeping an eye out for someone. It ought to be Fergus Letourneau. I stride out from the dark alleyway and wait patiently beneath a street light, for the Cadillac Converj to roll down the street again.
