Hello All. Yesterday i bought 2003 ford mondeo ghia x. when i was going through ford manual i found out i can actually double lock the with alarm, and i will get indicatication that the car is now double locked, means can not be opened from inside and outside and will be alarmed too. but when i tried on my car its is'nt working, and also if i lock the car from inside using central locking button it doesnt lock all doors as well, So i was wondering is it a fault OR i have activate this option. so i am looking someone who can explaing me how this works. thanks to all more

been here b4 lol my car: ford focus 1.4 cl 34000 on the clock the car i can have a straight swap for is the same year ford focus 2.0 ghia 90000 on the clock is that a good swap opr should i avoid it... please note: i am after a bigger engine car but just worried about the mileage on it cause its petrolin the uk they say the average mileage per year is 12000 so the 90000 is actually still less than average for the fact the car is 9 years old....believe it or not the credit crunch hasnt hit everyone yet lol yes, i can afford the extra, that all comes with the territory, my hubby is a fully qualifird mechanic so he will do all work required... i just wanted e1 views.... ta xx more

hi i have a 72 karmann ghia and i would like to know how to burn ruber and make donuts with it i saw something that told you how to do it but it did not have a specific car so i tryed it but at the begibing it seemed it was going to work but at the end it did not work it just moved foward it had to do with puting the hand brake and aselerate it in 1 gear and slowly let go of the clutch but it did not work more

I've a 2001 X-reg Ford Galaxy 2.3 Ghia. After I first bought it I had problems with the alternator and had that replaced. Since then it's been ok. However the last three days it has cut out on me at random times, normally when the car has come to a standstill. No warning lights come on beforehand. After a minute or so of trying it usually starts up again. Planning on a 300 mile journey tomorrow so any ideas of what might be causing this would be great. Thanks in advance more

ok i got this VW "autostick" transmission with my 1971 karman ghia. it is like a manual transmission but with a vacuum operated clutch my question is this... i want to put a 1.8 fuel injection engine... with something like 100 hp ...can i use this gearbox? some people have told me that the cluth is too small for a bigger engine ..and that i will blow it.. can i modify the transmission??? with a bigger flywheel and cluth.. i think would be perfect!! but people dont want to mess up with this transmission.. I DONT KNOW WHY! i love the autostick!!!... is faster AND cooler than the stickshift ): SOMEONE? more

Voting Question: how do i connect a halfords hands free kit to a ford focus ghia 2002 it worked fine in my focus 2000?

the hands free kit works fine in the 2000 focus but on moving it to the 2002 focus it wont work, the wires are different colours and there is also an extra wire from the radio into the lume. this is driving me mad can anyone please help. more

Is this the top of the range of the Mondeo, on a 54 plate? It's got leather interior, 6 speed box, electric everything, heated seats, cooling seats, heated front screen, 17in alloys, with low profile tyres, it practically does everything itself automatically, except drive itself! Resolved Question: how can i bypass the immobiliser on a ford fiesta 1995 its the 1.6 ghia edition?

i brought this car off ebay i didn't know much about it until i got the car home. the bloke i brought from had lost all the keys 4 the car so went out and brought new locks and ignition barrel. but the car only came with 1 key which is a black 1 and as far as i am aware this car should have 3 keys a black 1 and 2 red chipped keys. my main dealer wants 2 charge me £245 to cut 2 new keys and then programme them to the immobiliser. if any1 can tell me how to get the car started with just the black key would be a big help. if the solution works and doesn't cost me i will give the person who gives the best answer £75. thanksi got it back 2 my house on a bars and also i have no chipped key so how can i bypass the immobiliseri cant just take the immobiliser out as its hard wired in to the ecu. there must be a way of starting my car if any1 jnows alot bout fords email me at jaybates@hotmail.co.ukmy car is not stolen i have the identification certificate and also have the v5 document therefor car is not stoleni brought the car as a project. and all i have is a black key it has no chip at all and it costs £75 for me 2 have 3 new keys cut and then £190 for them to programme the keys 2 the ecu. i could buy a new ecu wid key except the part number is 94AB12A650GB and nowhere stockes them and no breakers yard have got any and ebay dnt have them can any1 help more

I spun my car (4 dr 51 plate ford focus ghia.) into a field 22nd Nov, when it was snowing. After getting the car back from the insurers 3 weeks ago, the car doesn't feel the same as it did before I had the accident,ie before, the car had a good firm ride, and now seems to wallow especially around corners. I now use the wife's car more than I do my own, which is a 20yr old micra. I'd like to say that the car's had an mot last week and has passed first time. so I'm assuming the car's not twisted. Also why is it you get chills going through your body, take a tight grip of the steering wheel when you go past the place you had the accident? I have to use the same road more or less every day to go to work? more

Voting Question: Fiesta revs when I press the clutch?

I've got a '98 Fiesta Ghia 1.3, took it from London to Devon and back yesterday, everything was going fine down to Devon but when I got in to Exeter the engine started reving when I pressed the clutch to change gear or stop. If I switched the engine off for a while and came back to the car it was fine for a while but then started it again. Thought it might be the accelerator cable sticking so put some WD40 on it but read somewhere that it might be the idle valve, if it is can anyone tell me where to find it and what needs adjusting or any other suggestions for what might be causing it and how I can fix it myself. more

Have a 1977 Mercury Monarch Ghia, with a 302 2V. It's had a vacuum leak somewhere but I never got around to tracking it down, just messed with the carb and it ran (albeit roughly).
